👉🏻 A lot of us don’t prioritise sleep – going to bed late, feeling tired when you get up. Get yourself to bed at a similar time every night, turn off all technology (the tough one!) around 90 minutes before heading to bed. You might want to start with 30 mins before and build up gradually.
👉🏻 Breathe – yes we do this day in, day out but do we ever slow down and think about our breaths. Do we think about the inhalation and exhalation – probably not often – something which could take only a minute every day.
👉🏻 Read – how good do you feel when you chill out and relax and read. It slows you down, makes you chill out and you might learn something new too.
👉🏻 Teach/Help – fortunately the job I’m in – forces me to constantly do this with clients and students. However how often do you give advice, help others or simply pass on knowledge?
👉🏻 Gratitude – In our busy lives (which we probably make too busy!!) – we don’t fully appreciate the little things. Being able to wake up with a roof over our heads, taking a stroll in the sunshine or just being loved.
